Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Three years of previous kitchen experience preferred
- Willingness to train if lacking experience
- Ability to follow standardized recipes and food safety guidelines
- Ability to work flexible schedule including varying days and hours
- Commitment to personal and workplace safety standards
- Ability to use protective equipment as required
- Must pass any applicable background checks and drug screenings
Job Qualifications
- Three years of previous kitchen experience preferred
- Willing to train
- Ability to prepare food according to standardized recipes
- Knowledge of food safety standards including HACCP
- Ability to operate and maintain kitchen equipment
- Strong commitment to maintaining a clean and safe work environment
- Good communication and teamwork skills
Job Duties
- Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions to meet production, delivery and service schedules
- Serves meals or prepares for delivery by using correct portioning, meeting outlined standards, ensuring that food is at the correct temperature and is attractive and tasty
- Cleans kitchen after preparation and serving, maintaining high standards of cleanliness
- Operates and maintains kitchen equipment as instructed
- Assists in production planning, record keeping and reporting as required
- Reports needed maintenance, faulty equipment or accidents to the supervisor immediately
- Maintains good working relationships with coworkers, customers, administrators and managers
