Job Requirements

  • Prior culinary experience is required
  • ability to work full-time or part-time with flexible schedules including mornings and evenings
  • ability to adhere to all safety and hygiene standards
  • physical ability to stand for long periods and perform kitchen tasks
  • willingness to comply with company policies and drug-free workplace regulations
  • ability to use kitchen tools and equipment safely
  • authorized to work in the United States

Job Qualifications

  • Prior culinary experience
  • ability to prepare food in accordance with standardized recipes and federal, state, and corporate standards
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
  • ability to operate kitchen equipment safely
  • good communication and team collaboration skills
  • commitment to a clean and safe work environment
  • ability to follow company policies and procedures
  • high school diploma or equivalent preferred

Job Duties

  • Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions to meet production and service schedules
  • serves meals using correct portioning, ensures food is at the correct temperature and is attractive and tasty
  • cleans kitchen after preparation and serving, maintaining high standards of cleanliness
  • stores or discards excess food in accordance with safe food-handling procedures
  • keeps refrigerators and storerooms clean and neat and ensures proper storage of food and supply items
  • operates and maintains kitchen equipment as instructed
  • assists in production planning, record keeping, and reporting
  • assists in ordering and receiving food and supplies
  • reports needed maintenance, faulty equipment, or accidents to supervisor
  • attends in-service and safety meetings
  • maintains good relationships with coworkers, customers, administrators, and managers
  • performs job safely while maintaining a clean, safe work environment
  • follows HACCP standards for presentation, portion control, and serving temperatures
  • abides by company safety policies including using gloves and slip-resistant shoes
  • performs other duties as assigned
