Job Requirements

  • Minimum of four years cooking experience preferred
  • Ability to work full time or part time with flexible schedule
  • Must comply with all safety standards including use of protective gloves and slip-resistant shoes
  • Ability to follow company policies and procedures
  • Capability to perform physical tasks associated with kitchen work
  • Willingness to attend in-service and safety meetings
  • Ability to maintain good working relationships with coworkers and supervisors

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Four years of prior cooking experience preferred
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Ability to follow standardized recipes and portion control guidelines
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to maintain cleanliness and safety in the kitchen environment

Job Duties

  • Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions to meet production, delivery and service schedules
  • Serves meals or prepares for delivery by using correct portioning, meeting outlined standards, ensuring that food is at the correct temperature and is attractive and tasty
  • Cleans kitchen after preparation and serving, maintaining high standards of cleanliness
  • Stores or discards excess food in accordance with safe food-handling procedures
  • Keeps refrigerators and storerooms clean and neat
  • Operates and maintains kitchen equipment as instructed
  • Assists in production planning, record keeping and reporting as required
