Job Requirements
- At least 2 years of line cook or restaurant-style cooking experience preferred
- Ability to perform essential job functions satisfactorily
- Availability for full-time or part-time schedules including nights
- Willingness to adhere to company safety policies and procedures
- Capability to maintain a clean and organized work area
- Strong commitment to quality food preparation and service
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least 2 years of line cook or restaurant-style cooking experience preferred
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
- Ability to follow standardized recipes and instructions
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Commitment to safety and cleanliness
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights
- Experience operating kitchen equipment
- Basic record keeping and inventory skills
Job Duties
- Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions
- Serves meals using correct portioning and ensures food is at the correct temperature and attractive
- Uses established ticket collection procedures during service
- Cleans kitchen after preparation and serving maintaining high cleanliness standards
- Stores or discards excess food in accordance with safe food-handling procedures
- Keeps refrigerators and storerooms clean and neat
- Operates and maintains kitchen equipment as instructed
- Assists in production planning, record keeping, and reporting
- Assists in the ordering and receiving of all food and supplies
- Reports maintenance issues, faulty equipment, or accidents immediately
- Attends in-service and safety meetings
- Maintains good working relationships with coworkers, customers, administrators, and managers
- Performs job safely while maintaining a clean, safe work environment
- Ensures proper presentation, portion control, and maintenance of serving temperatures following HACCP standards
- Maintains personal commitment to safety and abides by company policies including the use of protective gloves, oven mitts, slip-resistant shoes, and proper lifting techniques
- Performs other duties as assigned
