Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior cooking experience preferred but not required
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift and carry food and supplies
- Availability to work full-time or part-time schedules including rotating weekends
- Willingness to comply with all safety policies and procedures
- Ability to follow directions and meet production deadlines
- Good physical stamina and manual dexterity
- Ability to adhere to hygiene and sanitation standards
- Willingness to complete required training
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
Job Qualifications
- Prior cooking experience preferred
- Ability to follow standardized recipes and instructions
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards including HACCP
- Strong attention to detail and quality

Job Duties
- Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions to meet production, delivery and service schedules
- Serves meals or prepares for delivery by using correct portioning, meeting outlined standards, ensuring that food is at the correct temperature and is attractive and tasty
- Uses established ticket collection procedures during service and maintains accurate records
- Cleans kitchen after preparation and serving, maintaining high standards of cleanliness
- Stores or discards excess food in accordance with safe food-handling procedures
- Keeps refrigerators and storerooms clean and ensures food and supplies are stored per standards
- Operates and maintains kitchen equipment as instructed
- Assists in production planning, record keeping and reporting as required
- Assists in ordering and receiving food and supplies
- Reports needed maintenance, faulty equipment or accidents to supervisor immediately
- Attends in-service and safety meetings
- Maintains good working relationships with coworkers, customers, administrators and managers
- Performs job safely while maintaining a clean, safe work environment
- Ensures proper presentation, portion control and maintenance of serving temperatures in compliance with HACCP standards
- Demonstrates personal commitment to safety
- Abides by all company policies and procedures including use of protective gloves, oven mitts, slip-resistant shoes, and proper lifting techniques
