Job Requirements
- Prior culinary or kitchen experience preferred
- Ability to work full-time or part-time Monday through Friday between 6:00 am and 2:00 pm
- Must be able to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
- Commitment to safety and adherence to all company policies
- Ability to handle kitchen equipment safely
- Must be able to maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards
- Ability to work cooperatively with others in a team environment
- Must be willing to participate in ongoing training and safety meetings
- Availability to work onsite at Billings Schools location
- Willingness to comply with all health regulations and food handling standards.
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior culinary or kitchen experience preferred
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- Ability to follow standardized recipes and portion control guidelines
- Basic skills in operating kitchen equipment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Commitment to maintaining a clean and safe work environment
- Ability to attend safety trainings and meetings
- Good record keeping and organizational skills
- Willingness to comply with company policies and procedures.
Job Duties
- Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions
- Serves meals using correct portioning, maintaining proper temperature and quality standards
- Uses established ticket collection procedures during service
- Cleans kitchen and stores or discards excess food following safe food-handling procedures
- Keeps refrigerators and storerooms clean and ensures proper storage of food and supplies
- Operates and maintains kitchen equipment as instructed
- Assists in production planning, record keeping, reporting, ordering, and receiving supplies
- Reports maintenance needs or equipment issues to the supervisor immediately
- Attends in-service and safety meetings
- Maintains good working relationships with coworkers, customers, administrators, and managers
- Performs job safely while maintaining a clean and safe work environment
- Ensures proper presentation, portion control, and serving temperatures following HACCP standards
- Adheres to company safety policies including use of protective gloves and slip-resistant shoes.
