Job Requirements

  • Prior culinary or kitchen experience preferred
  • Ability to work full-time or part-time Monday through Friday between 6:00 am and 2:00 pm
  • Must be able to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Commitment to safety and adherence to all company policies
  • Ability to handle kitchen equipment safely
  • Must be able to maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards
  • Ability to work cooperatively with others in a team environment
  • Must be willing to participate in ongoing training and safety meetings
  • Availability to work onsite at Billings Schools location
  • Willingness to comply with all health regulations and food handling standards.

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Prior culinary or kitchen experience preferred
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
  • Ability to follow standardized recipes and portion control guidelines
  • Basic skills in operating kitchen equipment
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Commitment to maintaining a clean and safe work environment
  • Ability to attend safety trainings and meetings
  • Good record keeping and organizational skills
  • Willingness to comply with company policies and procedures.

Job Duties

  • Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions
  • Serves meals using correct portioning, maintaining proper temperature and quality standards
  • Uses established ticket collection procedures during service
  • Cleans kitchen and stores or discards excess food following safe food-handling procedures
  • Keeps refrigerators and storerooms clean and ensures proper storage of food and supplies
  • Operates and maintains kitchen equipment as instructed
  • Assists in production planning, record keeping, reporting, ordering, and receiving supplies
  • Reports maintenance needs or equipment issues to the supervisor immediately
  • Attends in-service and safety meetings
  • Maintains good working relationships with coworkers, customers, administrators, and managers
  • Performs job safely while maintaining a clean and safe work environment
  • Ensures proper presentation, portion control, and serving temperatures following HACCP standards
  • Adheres to company safety policies including use of protective gloves and slip-resistant shoes.
