Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • prior cooking experience preferred
  • ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks
  • knowledge of food safety standards
  • ability to work varied hours and shifts
  • capability to use kitchen equipment safely
  • effective communication skills
  • legal authorization to work in the United States

Job Duties

  • Prepare high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions
  • serve meals or prepare for delivery using correct portioning and ensuring food meets temperature and presentation standards
  • taste all prepared food items to ensure quality
  • use established ticket collection procedures during service
  • clean kitchen after preparation and serving, maintaining high cleanliness standards
  • store or discard excess food according to safe food handling procedures
  • keep refrigerators and storerooms clean and organized
  • operate and maintain kitchen equipment as instructed
  • assist in production planning, record keeping, and reporting
  • assist in ordering and receiving food and supplies
  • report maintenance needs, faulty equipment, or accidents immediately
  • attend in-service and safety meetings
  • maintain good working relationships with coworkers, customers, administrators, and managers
  • perform job safely while maintaining a clean, safe work environment
  • ensure proper presentation, portion control, and serving temperatures following HACCP standards
  • comply with company safety policies including use of protective gloves and appropriate footwear
  • perform other duties as assigned
