Job Requirements
- Prior cooking experience is required
- Ability to work full time with open availability
- Ability to follow federal, state, and company food safety regulations
- Capability to maintain cleanliness standards in kitchen
- Ability to operate and maintain kitchen equipment
- Strong commitment to safety including use of gloves and proper lifting techniques
- Willingness to attend safety and training meetings
- Ability to work effectively with diverse team members
Job Qualifications
- Prior cooking experience
- Ability to prepare food according to standardized recipes
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- Ability to maintain cleanliness and organization in kitchen areas
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to follow safety protocols and use protective equipment
- Ability to perform record keeping and assist in supply ordering
Job Duties
- Prepare high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions
- Serve meals or prepare for delivery with correct portioning and temperature control
- Use established ticket collection procedures during service
- Clean kitchen after preparation and serving, maintaining cleanliness standards
- Store or discard excess food following safe food-handling procedures
- Keep refrigerators and storerooms clean and organized
- Operate and maintain kitchen equipment as instructed
- Assist in production planning, record keeping and ordering supplies
- Report maintenance issues or accidents to supervisor
- Attend in-service and safety meetings
- Maintain good working relationships with coworkers, customers, and managers
- Perform job safely while maintaining a clean and safe work environment
- Ensure proper presentation and portion control following HACCP standards
- Adhere to company safety policies including use of gloves and proper lifting techniques
