Job Requirements
- Must have prior cooking experience preferred
- ability to work full-time schedule with varying days and hours
- must be able to follow safety procedures and company policies
- capable of performing kitchen duties according to HACCP standards
- capable of standing for long periods and handling kitchen equipment
- willing to attend required trainings and meetings
- ability to work effectively in a team environment
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- prior cooking experience is preferred
- knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- ability to follow standardized recipes and portion controls
- good communication and teamwork skills
- ability to operate and maintain kitchen equipment
- basic record-keeping ability
- willingness to attend safety and in-service trainings
- ability to work flexible schedules
- personal commitment to safety and quality standards
Job Duties
- Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions
- serves meals or prepares for delivery using correct portioning and presentation
- uses established ticket collection procedures during service
- cleans kitchen and maintains high standards of cleanliness
- stores or discards excess food following safe food-handling procedures
- operates and maintains kitchen equipment as instructed
- assists in production planning, record keeping, ordering, and receiving of food and supplies
- reports maintenance needs and faulty equipment
- attends in-service and safety meetings
- maintains good working relationships with coworkers, customers, and management
- performs job safely while maintaining a clean work environment
- ensures proper food presentation, portion control, and serving temperatures consistent with HACCP standards
- adheres to company safety policies including use of gloves, oven mitts, and slip-resistant shoes
- performs other duties as assigned
