Job Requirements
- Prior cooking experience is required
- Ability to work full time Monday through Friday, 5:00 am to 1:30 pm
- Ability to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation
- Willingness to comply with safety standards and company policies
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Must be able to handle kitchen equipment safely
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to communicate effectively with team members
Job Qualifications
- Prior cooking experience
- Ability to prepare and follow standardized recipes
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
- Ability to maintain cleanliness in kitchen environment
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Basic record keeping and inventory management skills
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely
- Commitment to workplace safety and company policies
- Ability to work Monday through Friday, 5:00 am to 1:30 pm
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Job Duties
- Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions
- Serves meals or prepares for delivery using correct portioning and ensures food is at proper temperature
- Uses established ticket collection procedures during service
- Cleans kitchen after preparation and serving, maintaining high cleanliness standards
- Stores or discards excess food following safe food-handling procedures
- Keeps refrigerators and storerooms clean and organized and ensures proper storage of food and supplies
- Operates and maintains kitchen equipment as instructed
- Assists in production planning, record keeping, and reporting
- Assists in ordering and receiving food and supplies
- Reports maintenance needs, equipment faults, or accidents to supervisor
- Attends in-service and safety meetings
- Maintains good working relationships with coworkers, customers, administrators, and managers
- Performs job safely and maintains a clean, safe work environment
- Ensures proper presentation, portion control and maintenance of serving temperatures in line with HACCP standards
- Adheres to company policies including proper personal protective equipment use and slip-resistant shoe requirements
- Committed to personal and team safety
- Performs other duties as assigned
