Job Requirements
- Previous breakfast and production cooking experience preferred
- Ability to prepare food according to federal, state and company standards
- Commitment to maintaining cleanliness and food safety
- Ability to operate and maintain kitchen equipment safely
- Willingness to work full-time Monday through Friday with variable AM shift hours
- Ability to follow safety protocols including use of cut gloves, oven mitts and slip-resistant shoes
- Ability to maintain good communication with supervisors and coworkers
- Legal authorization to work in the United States
Job Qualifications
- Previous breakfast and production cooking experience preferred
- Ability to prepare food in accordance with standardized recipes and procedures
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards including HACCP
- Ability to operate and maintain kitchen equipment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Good interpersonal skills to maintain effective working relationships
- Ability to follow company policies and safety procedures
- Flexible to work morning shifts Monday through Friday
Job Duties
- Prepare high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions to meet production, delivery and service schedules
- Serve meals or prepare for delivery by using correct portioning, meeting outlined standards, ensuring that food is at the correct temperature and is attractive and tasty
- Taste all prepared food items for quality assurance
- Use established ticket collection procedures during service
- Clean kitchen after preparation and serving, maintaining high standards of cleanliness
- Store or discard excess food in accordance with safe food-handling procedures
- Keep refrigerators and storerooms clean and neat
- Ensure food and supply items are stored per standards
- Operate and maintain kitchen equipment as instructed
- Assist in production planning, record keeping and reporting
- Assist in ordering and receiving all food and supplies
- Report needed maintenance, faulty equipment or accidents to the supervisor immediately
- Attend in-service and safety meetings
- Maintain good working relationships with coworkers, customers, administrators and managers
- Perform job safely while maintaining a clean, safe work environment
- Ensure proper presentation, portion control and maintenance of serving temperatures
- Follow HACCP standards
- Use personal protective equipment such as cut gloves and oven mitts as required
- Abide by all company policies and procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned
