Job Requirements
- Previous wok cooking experience a plus
- ability to perform job safely and maintain clean work environment
- availability for full-time schedule Monday through Friday with varying shifts
- ability to follow company policies and procedures
- capable of handling food per safety standards including proper glove use
- physical capability to use kitchen equipment and perform cleaning tasks
- willing to abide by drug-free workplace policy
- eligibility to work in the specified location
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience in cooking, preferably with wok cooking
- knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- ability to follow standardized recipes and portion control
- good interpersonal and communication skills
- ability to operate and maintain kitchen equipment
- commitment to maintaining a safe and clean work environment
- willingness to work flexible AM and PM shifts
- basic record-keeping skills
- ability to work well in a team environment
Job Duties
- Prepare high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions
- serve meals or prepare for delivery ensuring correct portioning and food temperature
- use established ticket collection procedures during service
- clean kitchen after preparation and serving maintaining high cleanliness standards
- store or discard excess food per safe food-handling procedures
- keep refrigerators and storerooms clean and organized
- operate and maintain kitchen equipment as instructed
- assist in production planning, record keeping and reporting
- assist in ordering and receiving of food and supplies
- report maintenance needs, faulty equipment or accidents immediately
- attend in-service and safety meetings
- maintain good working relationships with coworkers, customers, administrators and managers
- ensure proper presentation, portion control and serving temperatures following HACCP standards
- perform duties safely adhering to company safety guidelines
- perform other duties as assigned
