Job Duties

  • prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions
  • serves meals or prepares for delivery using correct portioning and presentation standards
  • tastes all prepared food items to ensure quality
  • cleans kitchen after preparation and serving, maintaining cleanliness standards
  • stores or discards excess food following safe food-handling procedures
  • operates and maintains kitchen equipment as instructed
  • assists in production planning, record keeping, and reporting
  • assists in ordering and receiving of food and supplies
  • reports maintenance needs or faulty equipment to supervisor immediately
  • attends in-service and safety meetings
  • maintains good working relationships with coworkers, customers, administrators and managers
  • performs job safely while maintaining a clean and safe work environment
  • ensures proper presentation, portion control and maintenance of serving temperatures
  • abides by all company safety policies and procedures
