Job Duties
- Prepares food daily as outlined on the menus
- alters or adapts recipes to accommodate special dietary needs or improve recipes
- ensures attractive presentation of food on the plate before serving
- coordinates and participates in serving food including monitoring portion control
- maintains an accurate record of chargeable meals and submits to office monthly
- assists with menu planning and reviews menus with Dietary Manager
- assists in identifying food and supplies needed for next week
- prepares meats for storage and portion control upon delivery
- maintains clean, safe, and sanitary kitchen environment
- ensures compliance with regulations
- assists in training other kitchen staff in food preparation
- perform other duties as assigned
- comply with all policies and procedures
