Job Duties
- Prepares food daily as outlined on the menus
- alters or adapts recipes to accommodate special dietary needs or to improve recipes
- ensures attractive presentation of food on the plate before serving
- coordinates and participates in serving food, including monitoring portion control
- maintains an accurate record of chargeable meals and submits report monthly
- assists with menu planning and adjusts menus with Dietary Manager
- prepares meats for storage and portion control upon delivery
- maintains a clean, orderly, safe and sanitary kitchen environment
- ensures compliance with regulations
- assists in training other kitchen staff
- perform other duties as assigned
- comply with all policies and procedures
