Job Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent preferred
- 2 to 3 years of cooking or baking experience in a hotel, restaurant, or institutional setting
- a food handler's permit is required in the state of employment within 30 days of hire

Job Duties
- Meet expectations of the applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies: leader of self, leader of others, or leader of leaders
- ensure equipment is clean, well-maintained, and repaired
- ensure sanitation of the main kitchen and all cooking equipment, refrigerators, storerooms, and freezers
- set up, garnish, and break down steam tables and buffet lines, including special functions
- prepare decorated party items, such as gourmet cooking and banquets
- responsible for washing pots and pans used in the cooking process
- handle and prepare food in accordance with acceptable sanitary standards
