Job Requirements
- ability to read, write and speak English
- high school diploma or equivalent preferred
- ability to lift and carry 50 to 75 pounds
- ability to work with chemicals and cleaning agents
- willingness to work emergencies
- standing and walking intermittently throughout the day
Job Qualifications
- minimum one year food service experience in a health care dietary setting preferred
- minimum two years working in food and beverage operation preferred
- knowledge of quantity food preparation and portioned serving
- ability to read and follow recipe directions and diet orders
- ability to work flexible hours
- patient and tolerant toward staff, patients, and family members
Job Duties
- prepare food according to federal, state, and local standards
- follow standardized recipes and portion controls
- monitor temperature of hot and cold foods
- inspect food products and supplies
- assist with storage of supplies and food products
- notify management of supply or equipment needs
- comply with health and sanitation regulations
