Job Requirements
- high school education or equivalent
- one year experience in nursing home or hospital setting as cook preferred
- Servsafe certification required or obtained when hired
- reliable transportation
- able to comprehend written and verbal instructions
- able to perform basic math calculations such as weights, temperatures, fractions, measurements
- able to measure solids and liquids according to recipe specifications

Job Duties
- prepare meals from scratch including prep, cooking, baking, slicing, and roasting
- ensure all food preparation complies with state regulations
- maintain accurate inventory control of food supplies
- support weekend and holiday rotation schedules
- follow proper food safety and sanitation procedures
- assist in kitchen cleanliness and organization
- collaborate with dining services team to deliver exceptional meal service
