Job Requirements

  • Valid Food Handler's card
  • Minimum 2 years of previous scratch cooking experience preferred
  • Ability to work Monday through Thursday, 7:00 am to 4:00 pm
  • Ability to follow safety and sanitation regulations
  • Ability to work full-time
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to lift and carry kitchen equipment and supplies
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of scratch cooking experience preferred
  • Valid Food Handler's card required
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
  • Ability to follow standardized recipes
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely
  • Commitment to maintaining a clean and safe working environment

Job Duties

  • Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions to meet production, delivery and service schedules
  • Serves meals or prepares for delivery using correct portioning, meeting outlined standards and ensuring food is at the correct temperature and attractive
  • Uses established ticket collection procedures during service and is responsible for records from area worked
  • Cleans kitchen after preparation and serving, maintaining high standards of cleanliness
  • Stores or discards excess food following safe food-handling procedures
  • Keeps refrigerators and storerooms clean and neat
  • Operates and maintains kitchen equipment as instructed
  • Assists in production planning, record keeping and reporting
  • Assists in ordering and receiving food and supplies as required
  • Reports maintenance needs, faulty equipment or accidents to supervisor immediately
  • Attends in-service and safety meetings
  • Maintains good working relationships with coworkers, customers, administrators and managers
  • Performs job safely while maintaining a clean, safe work environment
  • Ensures proper presentation, portion control and maintenance of serving temperatures following HACCP standards
  • Adheres to company safety policies, including use of protective gloves, slip-resistant shoes, and proper lifting techniques
  • Performs other duties as assigned
