Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Previous kitchen experience required
  • Ability to stand for long periods
  • Ability to lift moderate weight
  • Availability to work scheduled hours Monday through Friday 7:30 am to 3:30 pm
  • Ability to follow safety and sanitation protocols
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English

Job Duties

  • Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions
  • Serves meals with correct portioning, temperature, and presentation
  • Uses established ticket collection procedures during service
  • Cleans kitchen and maintains high standards of cleanliness
  • Stores or discards excess food safely
  • Keeps refrigerators and storerooms clean and organized
  • Operates and maintains kitchen equipment
  • Assists in production planning, record keeping, and reporting
  • Assists in ordering and receiving food and supplies
  • Reports faulty equipment or accidents immediately
  • Attends in-service and safety meetings
  • Maintains good working relationships with coworkers and managers
  • Performs job safely and maintains a clean work environment
  • Ensures compliance with HACCP standards and company safety policies
  • Uses proper protective equipment such as cut gloves and oven mitts
  • Uses slip-resistant shoes and proper lifting techniques
  • Performs other duties as assigned
