Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous cook experience is preferred but not required
- Ability to work full time Monday through Friday, hours may vary
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Willingness to comply with all safety and hygiene policies
- Must be able to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation

- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
- Ability to follow standardized recipes and portion control
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness
- Good interpersonal skills to maintain relationships with coworkers, customers, administrators and managers
- Basic math skills for record keeping and inventory assistance
Job Duties
- Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions to meet production, delivery and service schedules
- Serves meals or prepares for delivery by using correct portioning, meeting outlined standards, ensuring that food is at the correct temperature and is attractive and tasty
- Cleans kitchen after preparation and serving, maintaining high standards of cleanliness
- Stores or discards excess food in accordance with safe food-handling procedures
- Keeps refrigerators and storerooms clean and neat
- Operates and maintains kitchen equipment as instructed
- Reports needed maintenance, faulty equipment or accidents to the supervisor immediately
