Job Requirements
- Food prep experience required
- Ability to work full-time Monday through Friday, 6:30 am to 3:00 pm
- Ability to perform physical tasks associated with kitchen work
- Willingness to adhere to safety and hygiene standards
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely
- Must be able to follow company policies and procedures
- Reliable transportation to Derryfield School in Manchester, NH
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous food preparation experience required
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
- Ability to follow standardized recipes and portion control
- Experience operating kitchen equipment
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Commitment to safety and cleanliness
- Ability to work a full-time schedule Monday through Friday
- Willingness to attend in-service and safety meetings
Job Duties
- Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions to meet production, delivery and service schedules
- Serves meals or prepares for delivery using correct portioning, ensuring food temperature and presentation standards
- Uses established ticket collection procedures during service
- Cleans kitchen after preparation and serving, maintaining high cleanliness standards
- Stores or discards excess food in accordance with safe food-handling procedures
- Keeps refrigerators and storerooms clean and ensures proper food storage
- Operates and maintains kitchen equipment as instructed
- Assists in production planning, record keeping and food ordering as required
- Reports maintenance issues and attends safety meetings
- Maintains good working relationships with coworkers, customers, and managers
- Performs job safely while maintaining a clean, safe environment
- Ensures portion control and serving temperature maintenance following HACCP standards
- Complies with company policies including use of gloves, oven mitts, slip-resistant shoes, and proper lifting techniques
