Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Experience cooking (2 years) required in lieu of education
  • Ability to read and write in English
  • Food Management Certificate required within 6 months of employment
  • Basic understanding of modified diets
  • Experience in commercial or institutional food preparation
  • Experience in assistant cook position or culinary education

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Job Duties

  • Prepare and serve food using proper food handling and food safety techniques
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment
  • Coordinate and assist in overall functions of the Food Service department
  • Work with Registered Dietitian to ensure adequate nutrition services
  • Coordinate with Director to ensure daily dietary operations
  • Prepare, season, and cook food for patients, employees, visitors, and special events
  • Adhere to established food safety and presentation standards
