Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Experience cooking (2 years) required in lieu of education
- Ability to read and write in English
- Food Management Certificate required within 6 months of employment
- Basic understanding of modified diets
- Experience in commercial or institutional food preparation
- Experience in assistant cook position or culinary education

Job Duties
- Prepare and serve food using proper food handling and food safety techniques
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment
- Coordinate and assist in overall functions of the Food Service department
- Work with Registered Dietitian to ensure adequate nutrition services
- Coordinate with Director to ensure daily dietary operations
- Prepare, season, and cook food for patients, employees, visitors, and special events
- Adhere to established food safety and presentation standards
