Job Duties
- Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions to meet production, delivery and service schedules
- Serves meals or prepares for delivery using correct portioning, meeting outlined standards, ensuring food temperature and attractiveness, tastes all prepared food items
- Uses established ticket collection procedures during service and maintains records
- Cleans kitchen after preparation and serving, maintains cleanliness and follows food-handling procedures
- Stores or discards excess food according to safety standards
- Keeps refrigerators and storerooms clean and ensures proper food storage
- Operates and maintains kitchen equipment as instructed
- Assists in production planning, record keeping and reporting
- Assists in ordering and receiving food and supplies
- Reports maintenance needs or equipment issues
- Attends in-service and safety meetings
- Maintains good working relationships with coworkers, customers, administrators and managers
- Performs job safely while maintaining a clean, safe work environment
- Ensures proper presentation, portion control and maintenance of serving temperatures following HACCP standards
- Commits to personal and workplace safety
- Abides by company policies including use of protective gloves, oven mitts, and slip-resistant shoes
