Job Duties

  • Prepares food daily as outlined on the menus
  • alters or adapts recipes to accommodate special dietary needs
  • ensures attractive food presentation
  • coordinates and participates in serving food
  • monitors portion control
  • maintains accurate records of chargeable meals
  • assists with menu planning
  • reviews and adjusts menus with Dietary Manager
  • assists in identifying food and supplies needed
  • prepares meats for storage and portion control
  • ensures proper handling, storage and labeling of delivered foods
  • maintains clean, orderly, safe and sanitary kitchen environment
  • ensures compliance with regulations
  • assists in training other kitchen staff
  • performs other duties as assigned
  • complies with all policies and procedures
