Job Duties
- Prepares food daily as outlined on the menus
- alters or adapts recipes to accommodate special dietary needs
- ensures attractive food presentation
- coordinates and participates in serving food
- monitors portion control
- maintains accurate records of chargeable meals
- assists with menu planning
- reviews and adjusts menus with Dietary Manager
- assists in identifying food and supplies needed
- prepares meats for storage and portion control
- ensures proper handling, storage and labeling of delivered foods
- maintains clean, orderly, safe and sanitary kitchen environment
- ensures compliance with regulations
- assists in training other kitchen staff
- performs other duties as assigned
- complies with all policies and procedures
