Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous culinary and food preparation experience preferred
  • ability to work full-time schedule including weekends
  • capability to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks
  • adherence to safety standards including wearing protective gloves and slip-resistant shoes
  • legal authorization to work in the United States
  • ability to follow company policies and procedures
  • willingness to attend training and safety meetings

Job Qualifications

  • Previous culinary experience preferred
  • knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques
  • ability to follow standardized recipes and portion control
  • understanding of food safety and sanitation practices
  • good communication and teamwork skills
  • ability to work flexible hours including weekends
  • basic record keeping and reporting skills

Job Duties

  • Prepare high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions
  • serve meals or prepare for delivery ensuring correct portioning and temperature
  • use established ticket collection procedures during service
  • clean kitchen and store or discard excess food following food-handling procedures
  • keep refrigerators and storerooms clean and organized
  • operate and maintain kitchen equipment
  • assist in production planning, record keeping, and reporting
  • assist in ordering and receiving food and supplies
  • report maintenance, faulty equipment or accidents immediately
  • attend in-service and safety meetings
  • maintain good working relationships with coworkers, customers, administrators, and managers
  • perform job safely and maintain clean work environment
  • ensure proper presentation, portion control, and maintenance of serving temperatures following HACCP standards
  • commit personally to safety of self and others
  • abide by company policies including use of protective gloves, oven mitts, fryer gloves, slip-resistant shoes, and proper lifting techniques
