Job Duties
- Wash, chop, store, and handle ingredients
- Ensure meal quality and customer satisfaction
- Measure, mix, and season menu items according to facility standards
- Operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers
- Test foods to determine if properly cooked
- Serve food in proper portions onto proper receptacles
- Clean cooking areas and equipment in the kitchen
- Wash and sort flatware, serving dishes, china, and glasses
- Check and regulate temperature of appliances
- Adhere to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguard University assets
- Follow University’s CICARE and ACT standard models for patient and family-centric interactions
