Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in food preparation or culinary role
  • knowledge of basic kitchen safety and sanitation
  • ability to work varied days and hours
  • effective communication skills
  • strong organizational skills
  • ability to multitask and work independently

Job Qualifications

  • Prior experience working in the senior living industry preferred but not required
  • at least two years of experience working in all stations of a hotel kitchen, a restaurant, or a similar operation
  • knowledge of sanitation and safe food handling standards
  • ability to communicate clearly and work cohesively with other restaurant team members
  • self-motivated, organized, and professional
  • ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks at one time
  • strong customer service skills

Job Duties

  • Prepare high-quality food following standard recipes and special diet orders
  • work with the Director of Food & Beverage and Sous Chef to manage all aspects of food and supply management
  • secure items in time for food preparation
  • ensure leftovers are stored correctly
  • maintain inventories
  • communicate clearly with restaurant team members
  • follow sanitation and safe food handling standards
