Job Requirements
- Prior cook and food service experience
- Ability to work full time or part time including weekends
- Ability to follow food safety regulations
- Willingness to use protective gear such as cut gloves and oven mitts
- Ability to maintain cleanliness and safe kitchen environment
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical kitchen tasks

- Knowledge of food safety standards and HACCP guidelines
- Ability to operate and maintain kitchen equipment

Job Duties
- Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions to meet production, delivery and service schedules
- Serves meals or prepares for delivery by using correct portioning, meeting outlined standards, ensuring that food is at the correct temperature and is attractive and tasty
- Uses established ticket collection procedures during service and maintains records for the area worked
- Cleans kitchen after preparation and serving, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and stores or discards excess food safely
- Keeps refrigerators and storerooms clean and neat, ensuring proper food and supply storage
- Operates and maintains kitchen equipment as instructed
- Assists in production planning, record keeping and reporting
- Assists in the ordering and receiving of food and supplies
- Reports needed maintenance, faulty equipment or accidents immediately
- Attends in-service and safety meetings
- Maintains good working relationships with coworkers, customers, administrators and managers
- Performs job safely while maintaining a clean, safe work environment
- Ensures proper presentation, portion control and maintenance of serving temperatures following HACCP standards
- Commits to personal safety and abides by company policies including the use of protective gloves and safety equipment while handling kitchen tools
- Performs other duties as assigned
