Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in culinary or food service preferred
- Ability to comply with federal, state, and corporate food safety regulations
- Ability to work full-time with varying hours including weekends and holidays
- Ability to perform physical tasks required in a kitchen environment
- Ability to use kitchen equipment safely
- Willingness to participate in safety and in-service meetings
- Ability to abide by company policies and procedures
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment
- Drug-free workplace compliance
Job Qualifications
- Previous culinary experience preferred
- Ability to prepare food according to federal, state, and corporate standards
- Knowledge of safe food handling and sanitation practices
- Ability to follow standardized recipes and portion control guidelines

- Basic record-keeping and inventory management skills

Job Duties
- Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions
- Serves meals or prepares for delivery using correct portioning and ensuring food is at the correct temperature
- Uses established ticket collection procedures during service and maintains service records
- Cleans kitchen after preparation and serving, maintaining high standards of cleanliness
- Stores or discards excess food in accordance with safe food-handling procedures
- Keeps refrigerators and storerooms clean and neat, ensuring food and supplies are stored properly
- Operates and maintains kitchen equipment as instructed
- Assists in production planning, record keeping, and reporting
- Assists in ordering and receiving food and supplies
- Reports maintenance needs, faulty equipment, or accidents to supervisor immediately
- Attends in-service and safety meetings
- Maintains good working relationships with coworkers, customers, administrators, and managers
- Performs job safely while maintaining a clean, safe work environment
- Ensures proper presentation, portion control, and maintenance of serving temperatures while following HACCP standards
- Commits to personal safety and the safety of others
- Abides by all company policies and procedures including proper use of protective gear and safe lifting techniques
