Job Requirements

  • Capable of standing and maneuvering independently and safely around the work area
  • Ability to stand on a tile floor for an eight-hour shift
  • Ability to see, hear or use prosthetics to perform required tasks
  • Manual dexterity to operate kitchen equipment including slicer, chopper, processor, knives
  • Ability to lift or carry up to 50 lbs
  • Free of communicable diseases or able to perform duties minimizing transmission risk
  • May be exposed to moderate noise and possible exposure to blood and body fluids
  • Ability to handle physical and emotional stress associated with food service
  • Exposure to cleaning chemicals, heat, and cold
  • Meet company attendance and punctuality standards

Job Qualifications

  • 1-2 years experience in a similar position preferred
  • Culinary training a plus
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English fluently
  • Ability to use miscellaneous software and office equipment
  • Ability to understand and follow directions
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Demonstrated technical culinary skills and knowledge of basic food sanitation guidelines

Job Duties

  • Work collaboratively with front and back of house team members ensuring quality, presentation, and portion control compliance
  • Adhere to food handling, HACCP, labeling, and storage protocols
  • Follow all safety protocols and cultivate a culture of safety
  • Maintain documentation of temperature charts and records
  • Maintain professional communication with community departments and Home Office support
  • Participate actively in planning and production meetings
  • Attend and participate in required in-service training and education programs
  • Perform other duties as directed by Executive Chef or Director of Dining Services
