Job Requirements

  • Basic kitchen knowledge or willingness to obtain basic culinary skills
  • Familiarity with main and satellite kitchens
  • Knowledge of food sanitation guidelines
  • Understanding of kitchen policies and procedures including opening, closing, shopping and prep lists
  • Ability to practice Mis En Place daily
  • Ability to execute knife cuts as reviewed and signed off by chef
  • Ability to produce assigned egg dishes and sandwiches
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds
  • Free from communicable diseases during employment
  • Willingness to follow safety and food handling protocols

Job Qualifications

  • 1-2 years experience in a similar position
  • Culinary training a plus
  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand English fluently
  • Ability to meet or exceed attendance and punctuality standards
  • Ability to use miscellaneous software and office equipment
  • Ability to understand and follow directions
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision

Job Duties

  • Work collaboratively with front and back of house team members ensuring compliance with quality, presentation and portion control standards
  • Adhere to all proper handling, HACCP, labeling and storage protocols for all foods and ensure compliance with relevant food service regulations
  • Follow safety protocols and consistently practice a culture of safety
  • Maintain documentation of temperature charts and records
  • Maintain open communication and professional relationships with community departments and support teams
  • Actively participate in planning and production meetings with the team
  • Attend and participate in required in-service training and education programs
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Executive Chef or Director of Dining Services
