Job Requirements
- Prior professional culinary experience
- Ability to perform essential job functions satisfactorily
- Willingness to comply with all health and safety regulations
- Ability to work varied shifts as required
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Must be able to work in an educational facility setting
- Able to maintain cleanliness and organization
- Availability for ongoing work including possible seasonal adjustments
Job Qualifications

- Knowledge of food safety and preparation standards
- Ability to follow standardized recipes and instructions
- Experience with kitchen equipment operation and maintenance
- Strong attention to detail for food presentation and portion control
- Good communication and teamwork skills

- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work efficiently under pressure
Job Duties
- Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions
- Serves meals or prepares them for delivery using correct portioning and ensuring food is at the correct temperature
- Uses established ticket collection procedures during service
- Cleans kitchen after preparation and maintains high standards of cleanliness
- Stores or discards excess food following safe food-handling procedures
- Keeps refrigerators and storerooms clean and ensures proper food storage
- Operates and maintains kitchen equipment as instructed
- Assists in production planning and record keeping
- Assists in ordering and receiving food and supplies
- Reports maintenance needs, faulty equipment, or accidents immediately
- Attends in-service and safety meetings
- Maintains good working relationships with coworkers and managers
- Performs job keeping a clean, safe work environment
- Ensures proper presentation, portion control, and serving temperatures
- Follows HACCP standards
- Commits to personal and coworker safety
- Abides by company policies on protective gear use
- Performs other duties as assigned
