Job Requirements

  • Full-time availability
  • Prior culinary experience required
  • Offshore or remote land site experience preferred
  • Ability to work a rotational schedule with 2-4 weeks on and 1-2 weeks off
  • Ability to perform essential job functions satisfactorily
  • Willingness to adhere to safety policies including use of protective gear
  • Ability to maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Willingness to undergo background checks and drug testing
  • Legal authorization to work
  • Must comply with company policies and procedures including lifting techniques and PPE use

Job Qualifications

  • Prior culinary experience
  • Experience offshore or at remote land sites preferred
  • Ability to prepare food according to established standards
  • Knowledge of safe food handling and kitchen hygiene
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Ability to operate kitchen equipment
  • Proven record of maintaining cleanliness in food preparation areas
  • Ability to follow safety protocols and attend safety meetings
  • Strong communication skills
  • Commitment to teamwork and customer service

Job Duties

  • Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions to meet production, delivery and service schedules
  • Serves meals or prepares for delivery using correct portioning, ensuring food is at proper temperature and appealing
  • Uses established ticket collection procedures during service
  • Cleans kitchen after preparation and serving, maintaining cleanliness standards
  • Stores or discards excess food according to safe food-handling procedures
  • Keeps refrigerators and storerooms clean and organized
  • Operates and maintains kitchen equipment as instructed
  • Assists in production planning, record keeping and reporting
  • Assists in ordering and receiving food and supplies
  • Reports maintenance needs, faulty equipment or accidents immediately to supervisor
  • Attends in-service and safety meetings
  • Maintains good relationships with coworkers, customers, administrators and managers
  • Performs job safely maintaining a clean, safe work environment
  • Ensures proper food presentation, portion control and serving temperatures while following HACCP standards
  • Commits personally to own safety and that of others
  • Abides by company policies including use of protective gloves and appropriate footwear
