Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • minimum six months of applicable experience preferred
  • ability to read, write, and follow directions
  • ability to perform basic math
  • willingness to complete on-the-job training
  • Serv Safe certification may be required within a designated timeframe
  • Basic Life Support certification may be required depending on location
  • valid driver’s license may be required depending on location
  • ability to work rotating holidays and weekends
  • ability to work night shift from 11:30 am to 8:00 pm
  • ability to stand for extended periods and walk long distances
  • good communication and teamwork skills

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • prepare, assemble, and cook baked goods and other food items for patients, residents, staff, and visitors
  • adhere to food quality standards of appearance, taste, temperature, and sanitation
  • perform washing and cleaning duties to ensure sanitation and cleanliness in cooking and serving areas
  • maintain labeling and storage of food, equipment, and machinery
  • follow standardized recipes and HACCP guidelines to prepare, store, and use food safely
  • operate kitchen equipment including mixers, slicers, kettles, ovens, grills, fryers, dishwashers, and refrigerators
  • communicate effectively with internal customers and work collaboratively within a team
