Job Requirements
- No degree or any other education earned required
- one year of food service experience including culinary program training
- ability to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action
- ability to perform physical tasks such as bending, stooping, climbing, lifting, pushing, and pulling
- must comply with food safety standards and operational procedures
- ability to follow detailed food preparation instructions
- must be available to work day shifts
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- at least one year of food service experience or culinary training
- knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- ability to work with minimal supervision
- critical thinking and decisive judgment skills
- strong communication and teamwork abilities
Job Duties
- Prepare food according to standardized recipes ensuring food production schedules are met
- use necessary food service equipment following safety, operational, cleaning, sanitation, and maintenance procedures
- ensure food preparation complies with quality, quantity, nutritional, temperature, and safety standards
- adhere to HACCP guidelines regarding requisition, storage, handling, and preparation of food
- follow menus provided and report any concerns to departmental leadership
