Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 1 year cooking experience in restaurant or healthcare
  • Valid food handler certification per local regulations
  • Ability to complete background check successfully
  • Must pass pre-employment health screening including drug test
  • Compliance with vaccination requirements or approved exemption
  • Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely

Job Qualifications

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • 1 year of cooking experience in a restaurant or healthcare environment
  • Food handler certification based on city or state requirements

Job Duties

  • Prepares food for cafeteria and/or patient services and other areas as assigned
  • Follows standardized recipes
  • Works as a grill cook in the cafeteria if needed
  • Preps food for production as assigned
  • Prepares salads and desserts according to standardized recipes
  • Demonstrates proficiency in the operation of all equipment used in the kitchen
  • Checks the temperature of prepared foods at various times during the day
  • Assures the timely delivery of food
  • Checks patient trays temperature and content
