Job Requirements
- High school education or GED preferred
- Associate's or technical degree in culinary arts or equivalent combination of education and related experience preferred
- SERV Safe certification or equivalent preferred
- Ability to prepare, season and cook food according to recipes and dietary guidelines
- Capability to maintain sanitation standards and cleanliness in work areas
- Availability to assist with training and kitchen operations
- Compliance with all required vaccinations as a condition of employment
- Willingness to participate in E-Verify program
Job Qualifications

- Ability to follow recipes and portion controls
- Experience with kitchen equipment such as blenders, mixers, grinders and slicers
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and sanitation
- Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Job Duties
- Prepares, seasons and cooks food for facility patients, employees and visitors
- Displays and serves food to customers
- Ensures dietary needs are met
- Previews menus and work orders to determine type and quantities of foods to be prepared
- Plans cooking schedule to meet specified times
- Ensures work stations are sanitary and inventory levels are maintained
- Measures and mixes ingredients according to recipes using kitchen utensils and equipment
- Ensures quality standards in taste, appearance and ingredients
- Maintains sanitary levels throughout food preparation process
- Assists in training personnel
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned
