Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous cooking experience in a commercial kitchen preferred
  • Ability to stand and walk continuously during shifts
  • Physical ability to lift carry and push weights frequently ranging from 11 to 50 pounds
  • Capability to bend squat twist or rotate frequently as required
  • Must be able to hear and read clearly with or without corrective devices
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English

Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a cook ideally in a high-end restaurant or hospitality environment
  • Knowledge of various cooking methods ingredients and procedures
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations in the kitchen
  • Ability to work flexible shifts including evenings weekends and holidays
  • Strong command of English sufficient to read and write and interpret administration information

Job Duties

  • Prepare and cook meals according to the menu ensuring high quality and presentation standards are met
  • Assist in the planning and development of menu items and recipes
  • Ensure all dishes are prepared in a timely manner to temperature requirements and to guest specifications
  • Ensure dietary requirements and food allergy restrictions are strictly adhered to
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen adhering to health and safety standards
  • Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
  • Manage food inventory and storage minimizing waste
