Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior kitchen or restaurant experience preferred
  • ServSafe certification is a plus
  • Knowledge of health, food safety and sanitation standards
  • Ability to work independently
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills

Job Duties

  • Consistently monitors the temperatures of hot and cold foods according to food safety standards and documents results
  • Completes appropriate forms such as food temperature logs, sanitizer concentration logs and food waste logs
  • Prepares breakfast, lunch and dinner daily in accordance with menu, recipes, allergies and dietary restrictions of individuals
  • Cleans storage, food preparation and serving areas to maintain sanitary conditions
  • Wash and dry dishes, take out trashes and broken-down boxes, clean dining area and stock items in serving areas as needed
  • Performs routine deep clean of kitchen area including sweeping/mopping kitchen floor, cleaning inside and out of reach-ins, cleaning steam table, fryolator, etc
  • Assists in guaranteeing a high level of health and safety, cleanliness and food preparation that ensures safe working practices are followed
  • Maintains professional boundaries with clients and interacts with them in an appropriate manner
  • Any other related tasks that are assigned
