Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED or minimum of two years of cooking experience in an institutional setting
  • food handler training certificate program (ANSI accredited) required within 30 days of start date
  • ability to work full time 40 hours per week
  • availability to work Monday through Friday with rotating weekends and holidays
  • physical ability to perform kitchen duties
  • compliance with hospital policies and procedures

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED

  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
  • ability to work rotating shifts including weekends and holidays
  • strong communication and teamwork skills

Job Duties

  • Prepare specified menu items for patients, cafeteria, and catered services
  • adhere to sanitation, safety, and food handling procedures
  • ensure food quality and presentation meets hospital standards
  • assist with inventory management and food storage
  • collaborate with dietary and clinical staff to accommodate special dietary needs
  • maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen work areas
  • comply with health and safety regulations
