Job Requirements
- High school education or GED preferred
- Associate's or technical degree or equivalent combination of education and related experience preferred
- Must have SERVSAFE or FH-efoodcard certification
- Ability to adhere to food safety and sanitation standards
- Must be able to stand for extended periods
- Excellent manual dexterity and attention to detail
- Ability to lift and carry food supplies and equipment
- Willingness to participate in training
- Must comply with vaccination requirements
- Ability to follow instructions and work under supervision
Job Qualifications
- Preferred high school education or GED
- Preferred associate's or technical degree or equivalent combination of education and related experience
- Preferred SERV Safe certification or equivalent
- Required SERVSAFE or FH-efoodcard certification
- Ability to follow recipes and food safety procedures
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Experience in food preparation preferred but not mandatory
Job Duties
- Prepares, seasons and cooks food for patients, employees and visitors
- Displays and serves food to customers
- Ensures dietary needs are met
- Previews menus and work orders to determine type and quantities of food to be prepared
- Plans cooking schedule to ensure timely food readiness
- Ensures work stations are sanitary and inventory levels are maintained
- Measures and mixes ingredients according to recipes
- Uses kitchen utensils and equipment to prepare food
- Assists in training personnel
- Cleans, washes and sanitizes dishware and kitchen equipment
- Maintains food inventories
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned
