Job Requirements
- High school education or GED preferred
- associate's or technical degree or equivalent combination of education and related experience preferred
- SERVSAFE or FH-eFoodCard certification required
- ability to prepare, season and cook food according to standards
- ability to maintain sanitation and cleanliness in kitchen and work areas
- capability to measure and mix ingredients accurately
- willingness to participate in training
- compliance with all safety and health regulations
- willingness to receive all required vaccinations as condition of employment
Job Qualifications

- SERVSAFE certification or equivalent preferred in CA and HI
- experience in food preparation and safety procedures
- ability to follow recipes and cooking schedules
- skills in operating kitchen utensils and equipment
- knowledge of dietary needs and food safety regulations
- effective communication and teamwork skills
Job Duties
- Prepares, seasons and cooks food for facility patients, employees and visitors
- displays and serves food to customers
- ensures dietary needs are met
- previews menus and work orders to determine types and quantities of meats, vegetables, soups, salads, and desserts to be prepared
- plans cooking schedule so foods are ready at specified times
- ensures work stations are sanitary and inventory levels are maintained
- measures and mixes ingredients according to recipes using various kitchen utensils and equipment
- ensures each item meets quality standards in taste, appearance, and ingredients used
- maintains sanitation throughout food preparation process
- attends and assists in training personnel
- performs other job-related duties as assigned
