Job Requirements

  • high school education or GED preferred
  • associate’s or technical degree preferred
  • SERVSAFE or FH-efoodcard certification required
  • knowledge of food production standards and food safety procedures
  • ability to plan and schedule food preparation
  • willingness to assist in training personnel
  • compliance with organizational vaccination requirements
  • ability to work in a team and maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards

Job Qualifications

  • high school education/GED or equivalent preferred
  • associate's/technical degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience preferred
  • SERV Safe certification or equivalent preferred in CA and HI
  • SERVSAFE or FH-efoodcard required
  • ability to ensure dietary needs are met
  • skill in using kitchen utensils and equipment such as blenders, mixers, grinders, slicers, and tenderizers
  • attention to maintaining quality standards in taste, appearance, and sanitary levels

Job Duties

  • prepares food for patients, customers and catered events in a consistent and efficient manner by utilizing food production standards and food safety procedures
  • cleans, dish washes, and sanitizes dishware and equipment
  • assists in maintaining kitchen equipment and food inventories
  • prepares and serves food to customers
  • assists in department maintenance and service
  • previews menus and work orders to determine type and quantities of meats, vegetables, soups, salads, and desserts to be prepared
  • plans cooking schedule so that foods will be ready at specified times
