Job Requirements
- high school education or GED preferred
- associate’s or technical degree preferred
- SERVSAFE or FH-efoodcard certification required
- knowledge of food production standards and food safety procedures
- ability to plan and schedule food preparation
- willingness to assist in training personnel
- compliance with organizational vaccination requirements
- ability to work in a team and maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards
Job Qualifications
- high school education/GED or equivalent preferred
- associate's/technical degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience preferred
- SERV Safe certification or equivalent preferred in CA and HI
- SERVSAFE or FH-efoodcard required
- ability to ensure dietary needs are met
- skill in using kitchen utensils and equipment such as blenders, mixers, grinders, slicers, and tenderizers
- attention to maintaining quality standards in taste, appearance, and sanitary levels
Job Duties
- prepares food for patients, customers and catered events in a consistent and efficient manner by utilizing food production standards and food safety procedures
- cleans, dish washes, and sanitizes dishware and equipment
- assists in maintaining kitchen equipment and food inventories
- prepares and serves food to customers
- assists in department maintenance and service
- previews menus and work orders to determine type and quantities of meats, vegetables, soups, salads, and desserts to be prepared
- plans cooking schedule so that foods will be ready at specified times
