Job Requirements
- Must be 19 years or older
- High school diploma, GED, or relevant experience
- One to five years of cooking experience in high-volume food service
- Knowledge of kitchen sanitation and equipment operation
- Ability to taste and smell foods
- Ability to follow directions and work under pressure
- Ability to maintain professional appearance and comply with company standards
- Ability to secure and maintain NE Gaming License
- ServSafe certification
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED, or relevant experience
- One to five years prior experience as cook in a high-volume food service operation
- Knowledge of kitchen sanitation, operation, and maintenance of kitchen equipment
- Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques and nomenclature
- Ability to taste and smell foods
- Knowledge of weights, measures, and recipe yield
- Possession and maintenance of culinary tools such as knives
- Excellent guest service and communication skills
- Ability to tolerate industry-standard cleaning chemicals
- Ability to maintain a neat, professional appearance
- Ability to follow directions and work under pressure
- Ability to display self-control and organizational skills
Job Duties
- Practices, supports, and maintains the Mission, Vision and Values of WarHorse Gaming
- Provides fast, friendly, professional, and responsive guest service
- Maintains current and accurate information regarding food items, preparation techniques, seasonings, and ingredients
- Prepares food items per work order including breakfast items, entrees, and desserts
- Utilizes proper cooking methods and follows recipe and production specifications
- Maintains cleanliness and sanitation of all work areas
- Ensures compliance with health and safety standards including remedying any violations
- Maintains par levels of operating supplies and food products
- Operates and maintains kitchen equipment and utensils according to guidelines
- Provides personalized service to customers and team members
- Leads by example and takes responsibility for job details
- Performs other duties as assigned
