Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Two years of cooking experience
- Culinary certification preferred
- Strong and efficient food preparation skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing
- Ability to build cooperative working relationships with staff, patient families, and visitors
- Ability to work with minimal supervision

Job Duties
- Take accurate temperatures of all food items prepared and log in the temperature book
- Ensure all food items are cooked and stored outside of the temperature danger zone as per HACCP regulations
- Record cooling temperatures of roast meats on the roast meat log chart accurately
- Utilize "First In, First Out" method in food preparation as indicated in HACCP regulations
- Prepare and pull items according to prep and pull sheets monitored by Food Service Management
- Follow all recipes according to the recipe book to ensure consistency and quality
- Cover, label, and date all food items as indicated in HACCP regulations
- Record the timely amount of food prepared and leftovers on production forecasting sheets and leftover logs
- Complete all sanitation assignments daily, weekly, and monthly with proper documentation
- Clean and sanitize all food surface areas, counters, and equipment after each use
- Use proper glove and hair restraints at all times when handling food
- Perform other duties as assigned
