Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum two years cooking experience in an institutional setting
- Must obtain Food Handler Training Certificate within 30 days of hire
- Ability to work Monday through Friday with rotating weekends and holidays
- Ability to follow food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Capability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift and carry kitchen items
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED

- Food Handler Training Certificate (ANSI Accredited) within 30 days of start date
- Knowledge of food safety regulations
- Ability to work rotating shifts including weekends and holidays
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Physical ability to stand for long periods
Job Duties
- Prepare specified menu items for patients, cafeteria, and catered services
- Ensure adherence to sanitation, safety, and food handling procedures
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness and organization
- Monitor inventory and report supply needs
- Collaborate with dietary staff to meet patient nutritional requirements
- Follow hospital policies and procedures
- Assist with training new kitchen staff
