Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or GED or two years cooking experience in institutional setting
  • Food Handler Training Certificate Program (ANSI accredited) within 30 days of start
  • flexible to work Monday-Friday 12-8:30 PM with rotating weekends and holidays
  • ability to comply with sanitation and food safety standards
  • capability to work in fast-paced hospital kitchen environment

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or GED
  • minimum two years of cooking experience in an institutional setting
  • food handler training certificate program (ANSI accredited) within 30 days of start
  • working towards ServSafe Manager certificate (ANSI)

Job Duties

  • prepare specified menu items for patients, cafeteria, and catered services
  • ensure adherence to sanitation procedures
  • follow food safety and handling guidelines
  • maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area
  • rotate work shifts including weekends and holidays
  • collaborate with team members to meet meal service demands
  • comply with hospital and health regulations
