Job Requirements

  • minimum of one year food service cooking experience or combination with culinary degree
  • ability to work on-site
  • availability to work shifts including holidays and weekends
  • ability to read and write
  • basic arithmetic skills for counting and documentation
  • basic computer proficiency
  • good communication and problem solving skills

Job Qualifications

  • culinary arts degree preferred
  • one year of food service cooking experience
  • experience with hot food preparation preferred
  • ability to read and write equipment instructions and documentation

Job Duties

  • prepare hot and cold food items for patients, staff and visitors
  • monitor quality of food produced
  • follow standardized recipes and production sheets
  • ensure food safety and sanitation standards
  • maintain quality in cooking methods, procedures and therapeutic restrictions
  • control food presentation and portion sizes
  • perform baking duties
