Job Requirements
- minimum of 1 year of food service cooking experience or any combination of years in food service experience with a culinary degree
- culinary arts degree preferred
- ability to read and write necessary to comprehend and follow equipment operating instructions ifus and complete required documentation
- basic arithmetic calculations necessary to count instruments and complete count sheets
- basic computer problem-solving and good communication skills
- servsafe certification preferred

Job Duties
- perform all duties related to the production of hot and cold food items for hospital patients staff and visitors special functions and baking
- monitor the quality of items produced working closely with hot and cold food production teams
- follow standardized recipes and production sheets ensuring food is produced in accordance to sanitation and food safety standards
- maintain quality standards in cooking methods procedures therapeutic restrictions presentation and portion control
- comply with hospital policies and procedures regarding food service operations
- assist in maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment
- communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth operations
